HIGH VOLTAGE INSULATION MAT
INTRODUCTION :-
High Voltage Insulation Mat has superseded the Rubber mats to new revised specifications IS:15652:2006 (Indian Standard). High Voltage Insulation Mat has high Insulation resistance of 10,00,000 MΩ when measured with 500V Meggar. Due to its high insulation resistance insulation mat provides full protection to the staff working on and around the Electrical Equipment. High Voltage Insulation Mat does not absorb moisture, it is fire retardant and there is no effect of the chemicals such as Acids, Alkalis & transformer oil. The Mat has very good mechanical properties to withstand load and movement of associated Electrical Equipment. Taking into consideration the safety of the workers against electric shocks, the mat is recommended for all kinds of Sub-Stations, Transformer Rooms, LT & HT Control Panels, Electrical Switch Rooms for AC & DC installations, Battery Rooms, Generator Rooms etc.

- High Electrical Insulation resistance 10,00,000 mΩ when measured with 500 v meggar.
- 100% shockproof to 10 MA at 65 Kv tested for total leakage current.
- It is fire retardant and there is no effect of Transformer oil, Acid, Alkali, Diesel.
- High Dielectric Strength of 45 Kv for 1 minute for MAT size 2.5 mm.
- Portable type permanent fixed smooth trolley movement.

High Voltage Insulation Mat are relatively thin compared to rubber mats and thickness ranging from (2mm to 3.0mm) made of elastomeric polymers material having a high Insulation resistance, thus imparting total safety of human being from any leakage current.

The High Voltage Insulation Mat- Confirming to IS 15652 : 2006 has superseded the rubber mat with IS 5424 (old standard) as per the Govt. of India Gazette Notification No. S.O. 2086 dated 17 July 2007 and duly tested by central power research Institute.
